WrinkleMatic is a lightweight procedural wrinkle and memory-fold deformer for Autodesk Maya. It enhances already animated or deformed meshes by adding believable compression folds, stretch wrinkles, and subtle volume reactions without corrective shapes or simulation passes.

It can be used anywhere from enhancing cloth deformations to adding fine, expressive details on character faces.

  • Results depend on your UV layout. Two similar meshes with different UVs will behave differently.

  • Each surface may need tuning - amplitude, direction bias, or map painting - to achieve the desired result.

Linux Compatibility Disclaimer

WrinkleMatic is compiled and tested on modern Linux distributions using GCC 13 and GLIBC 2.35+ (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and newer).
A legacy build compiled with GCC 9 is also provided for compatibility with older systems such as CentOS 7/8, RHEL 8, or Ubuntu 18.04.

Because Linux environments vary widely across distributions and render farms,
binary compatibility is not guaranteed on all systems.
If you encounter version mismatch errors (for example, missing GLIBCXX symbols),
please use the corresponding linux-gcc9 plugin folder as described in the installation guide.
